Description
She is a Maya descendant and lives in a small village San Jorge La Laguna high in the mountains of Guatemala.
The Maya is a Mesoamerican civilization, noted for the only known fully developed written language of the pre-Columbian Americas, as well as for its art, architecture, and mathematical and astronomical systems. Maya cities reached their highest state of development until the arrival of the Spanish in the early 16th century.
