Description
Captured in Santiago de Cuba, during my visit there in December 2012.
Classical pianist and composer Franz Liszt was quoted as saying "A good Cuban cigar closes the door to the vulgarities of the world". A female literary giant of the Victorian era, George Sand, observed "The cigar is a perfect complement to an elegant lifestyle".
Captured with camera Nikon D600, f/10, 1/60 sec, ISO-280, focal lenght 300 mm, lens AF-S Nikkor 28-300 mm. Raw file edited in ViewNX 2, and basic editing in PhotoShop: sharpening, blur, contrast with masking.

I think , if such a 'take no-nonsense', tough, yet bright and imaginative Lady would run our planet - we would all live in a much better world.

Congratulations on the tie for 2nd place in Mad Hatters and Crazy Chapeaux. Wonderful character in the subject as well as in the hat. Love the selective focus.
