Artist's Description
Captured late afternoon on the Stocking Island in Bahamas, with the camera Nikon D600, f/9, exposure time 1/2000 sec, aperture 3.7, lens AF-S Nikkor 28-300.
Stocking Island is approximately three miles long and protects the George Town from the ocean waves, creating a natural harbor. A beauty with one high hill, known locally as "The Beacon", Stocking Island is capped with an old gas beacon. No longer used, the glass top portion is missing, but the concrete pillar is visible for miles around. The central part of Stocking Island features an inlet known as "Hurricane Hole" where sailboats anchor for protection during storms, and which features a blue hole. Opposite Hurricane Hole is a sandbar beach called "The Spit" where locals have built a popular bar/restaurant you can reach only by boat known as "Chat and Chill".

I'm a passionate photographer, and I like to photograph anything and everything that catches my eye. Born in Poland (Sopot), was living over 25 years in Germany, and then sailing for 7 years in the Pacific, finally settled in Quebec, Canada. Because of my travels, I had the opportunity to capture a host of images from a different parts of the globe. From 2010 until now all images are shot in RAW format. Hope you enjoy the works I have uploaded. Please feel free to give me your comments and suggestions as I believe that is an excellent way to improve our skills and also learn new ones.
